Breakfast was good, though I wish it was included. It was $12 pp. The hotel smelled very good when walking in. The ladies at the front were always very welcoming and pleasant. Customer service was excellent.

If you really find fault, we were not pleased with the view from the window. Otherwise, the hotel in general and the staff left us with only pleasant impressions.

What I like is you cannot be on another floor unless that is your floor so I thought this is awesome. This will be my main place to go in Chicago. Except I got put across some very loud running teenagers. It would be helpful if maybe people with families were put on a different floor, but it did get handled so I appreciated that. Everyone was super friendly. I had requested a top floor, which they were very accommodating and put me at the end of the hallway. I had a great view very close to the parking garage and lyric Opera House.

First of all, I booked this hotel for my friends and I for the best experience in my home town. The room was fine, nothing special but everything in the room was extremely expensive like 8 dollar water bottles etc. They also have no discounted parking for guests so you have to choose one of the expensive parking garages. For the price of the room, it's crazy. There were no trash bags in the trash cans either. The biggest issue I am still currently dealing with is their payment system. I have been to many hotels in chicago and across the US and never had this issue. First, they didn't allow me to pay when I got there but charged it to the card on file anyway. Then when I checked out, I asked if I could pay partly and cash. They said it was fine and they could adjust the amount but didn't. After I gave them the money. Then when I called the next day, they said it took time for the bank to fix. Well it has been 5 days and still nothing. I'm out 200 dollars. Hyatt was my favorite, not after this.

The staff was exceptionally responsive & helpful. We were using the pull out couch & called down for sheets & blankets. It was delivered to our room within 5 minutes. The hotel was clean, quiet and beautiful. We had a room right next to the elevator and I was concerned that we would hear a lot of guest noise as people were using the elevator, but was pleasantly surprised by how quiet our room was. It was also nice to have the elevator to guest rooms be secured by your room key card.

Breakfast was good. We were confused initially as the staff said changes had been made between the hotel and third party operators eg. Booking.com and it was likely breakfast for our family of 5 would not be covered. We had booked this hotel specifically for that reason and had stayed in other Hyatt Place hotels with great breakfasts. Thankfully, the breakfast staff were kind enough to see that there had been a miscommunication between business and we were to to blame for that. Breakfast was wonderful!
